PresentationTeams of court reporters and editors have been specially trained by the UN to report verbatim the testimony and submissions of all parties and participants of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). Real-time court reporting for the French language was implemented in the ICTR and the reporters and scopists were trained so all the participants can follow the transcript simultaneously as the proceedings progress.
UN personnel have therefore been trained to utilise a modern and efficient working method optimised by the use of state-of-the-art equipment. This expertise is currently being used at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, the Netherlands.
